Incredible Story Terms and Conditions
How Do I Submit My Story?
Simply email your story to story *at* incrediblealmanac.com, replacing the *at* with an @. The best way is to write it in a word processing program, spend a bit of time editing and re-writing it until it reads well, then cut and paste it into your email.
Does It Have To Be True?
We collect real stories that have happened to real people. All 365 entries in The Almanac were investigated for veracity against at least two sources. While we won't check out every story we receive, submissions we are interested in may be looked into for truthfulness. If your story gets directed to a book project, it will be investigated. If possible, list supporting evidence of your event - newspaper articles, doctor's reports, contact information for other witnesses - whatever you have.
How Much Will I Get Paid?
We are unable to offer financial recompense for your story at this time. If we use your story on our blog or in a book, you will be fully credited.
Will My Story Be Used?
We will be able to use some of the incredible stories we receive, but not all. We will contact you if your story appears on our blog, or is headed for a book.
I Want To Tell You My Story, But Not Have It Published
Your submission of a story to us is your consent for us to use and redistribute it. If you're shy and don't want your incredible occurrence widely known, don't send it to us.
